I only wish I lived a little closer then I could try the whole range WoodfireSpice.Ca we love your alder smoked sea salt and have been using it for years. It’s especially wonderful on oven roasted vegetables, and the perfect addition to avocado toast. Simple but perfect and essential!

Alder smoked salt – this quickly became one of my all time favourites, it adds an amazing flavour to so many dishes, even if you are just frying up some mushrooms! Gaviola – with garlic and herb being one of my favourite flavours to mix, in the Gaviola it is already done for you and its done to perfection! Amazing for so many dishes and so easy to add into recipes Maple Sugar – for anyone with a sweet tooth this will blow you away. It takes sugar and improves it, it is amazing for so many desserts!

Even like the empty tins as I use the high quality tins to store food. Also like the look on my kitchen shelf – it makes me look like I cook tasty food .. and I can … if I cheat … which I do…
I started cooking with Woodfire spice blends years ago, using them as rubs on meat and poultry. Now, I’m living in Texas and I still use these spices and am always finding new uses for them! I always put the Coffee Chili Cocoa Rub on grilled meat, and I marinate my stirfried tofu with the Gaviola Garlic and Herb Blend. Recently, I have started using the Rain Coast Wild Mushroom to season asparagus, broccoli, and other vegetables, as well as chicken. And I use Woodfire spices in countless other ways, too. Woodfire spice blends are so delicious and versatile!
I love the Woodfire Spice Blends! Especially the Rain Coast Wild Mushroom spice. I fry up some mushrooms & add this spice and it makes the perfect burger topping! Also the Island Spice Blend is my favourite way to jazz up summer veggies: a drizzle of olive oil, some Island Spice blend and a few minutes in the grill pan on the bbq and you’ve got a great veggie dish!
Gabriola’s Woodfire spices are awesome, delicious and distinctive and zizz up our everyday meals. Our favourite is the ‘coffee chilli cocoa rub’ on a tray of roasted root vegetables. And you don’t have to store the funky tins away; they look fabulous on display in the kitchen!
I have a range of Wood Fire spices to hand that can be used to take a whole range of meals on to a different level. Could be a small pinch that’s perfect in soup, or coated over salmon skin, or seasoning for roast potatoes. Even sprinkle on your morning eggs! All are delicious.

Cocoa chili rub – no longer can have steak without it! It’s so yummy, and makes it
so flavourful! Chuck it in before you throw it on the bbq and voila the best steak
you’ll ever have.

left at the bottom of the fridge at the end of the week into something special.

What an amazing collection of spice blends. They not only make a big difference to your meals but they look great too! I have not tried them all but so far three of my favourites are the Apple pie spice, the smoked rosemary salt and the maple sugar.

Love Woodfire spices! I’m not the most confident cook but when I use these spices everything tastes amazing! The kids love the rosemary salt on roast potatoes and I also put it on the skins of baked potatoes before cooking to make them crispy and delicious.
We love to add a bit of spice to our lives especially if it’s the Coffee, Chili & Cocoa Rub added to our meat balls. Or Gulf Island Lemon Pepper added to our pork/chicken and salmon can no longer be served in our house without a blast of Salish Sea Salmon Spice.
